I still remember, mooting was more of a religion in my college, and if that’s the case, then I’m more than pleased to have been the Pope [Convener, Moot Court Society] for a brief period to regulate mooting activities in my University. Those days I do remember, it was heaven to argue and defeat a few of those real haughty teams that turn up for a moot court. Being a new comer to the law skool fraternity in India, we were always the underdogs and no one expected us to win wherever we traveled, however, we had this remarkable quality of surprising everyone wherever we went; and I can proudly say I belonged to that era, the era of champions, glory days of an institution that rose high from humble beginnings. Being a corporate lawyer, it’s hard to compromise with reality that you are losing hair and showing signs of graying even before completing one year of work. But then do we have a choice?? Well I wanna jump out of my office for just a moment …get a loudspeaker climb up to the roof and yell “Your lordships …I AM INSANE” !!!!!! [“Freddie Mercury – I want to breakfree” in the background]….for this selfishly freakish moment, I did go back to thoughts of getting back my coloured long hair and some curls and piercings that I possessed…phew!!!!!
